In our tests it did a great job on both hard floors as well as carpets with low pile, picking the majority of the smaller, more difficult debris we deposited on each surface and taking on the larger crumbs of cereal we placed on the carpet. It's a little less adept at handling pet hair than some of the top models we've tested, however, and it may get stuck on toys or cords if you don't pick them up before sending the robot to clean.
In our tests, it was clean for about 90 minutes before the battery ran out and it returned to the base. It was more efficient than the i7+ and s9+, which each ran for less than 60 minutes in our tests. This small robot's compact design allows it to reach places that larger robots cannot such as corners and under furniture. It also has an advanced LiDAR sensor that is able to detect obstacles and avoid collisions.
During our tests during our testing, the K10 Plus vacuumed up pet hair as well as crumbs and other debris quickly and efficiently from our carpeting. It also did a great job of getting into tight places such as under our bed or around the legs of chairs. The design of the Roomba S9+ is a premium. It has an elongated frame that appears more modern than the competitors circular bodies. This shape helps it to fit into corners and along edges with ease. However, it can leave dust in these areas if you do not spin the corner brush in a fast enough manner. However, its powerful motor compensates for it.
In iRobot's tests, the S9+ was able to remove pet hair and kitty litter effortlessly. It also performed admirably on hard floors, as it made use of its powerful motor to push through the majority of debris and clean all edges and corners with ease. Its vSLAM-based advanced technology and Imprint Smart Mapping technology also made it one of the most efficient navigators we've tested, with an unshakeable grasp of its floorspace that can even find its ways under sofas or beds with draped valances over them.
Setting up and operation is easy using the iRobot app. You can select the functions you want to activate in the initial setup process or wait until you've had a better feel for the way it functions.
